If an employee has been issued a termination letter, is it compulsory to get the received & signed copy from the employee or would the email with the termination letter suffice for HR records?
s
Ideally the email would suffice, since an official record exists Receiving the copy is encouraged since it serves as an acknowledgment and an assurance that the employee has indeed viewed the mail/document and has clearly understood the content and particulars

Thank you @Shantanu Karnik. Initially, the employee reverted accepting being terminated but not the reason and wanted the termination letter to be reissued with any other reason as was stated in the letter. to whcih a prompt response with details pertaining to the reason was provided to him via email and he was asked to revert / respond with a signed copy by 24th Mar (today). His final settlement is due and is kept on HOLD as he's not reverted with the acknowledgement as yet. Advise?

Follow up with an email for his response, mentioning that without which you will not release the FnF and Relieving letter And hope that he responds
