Hi - this is a request for a friend seeking advice from the experts- masking the identity in the resume of the person as she is not comfortable. Sharing the resume attached - the person has worked with start-ups in people function extensively and for the sake of stability is looking to join a established big companies. These are the following questions from the friend. She is currently unhappy as she is constantly applying for a role and not getting shortlisted even for an interview. These are the questions: 1. Would big companies look at her resume and shortlist it for a role? 2. If yes, what is the potential role she can apply for as she has worked in the length and breadth of the people function. 3. Where is the potential areas of upskilling to join a big company? Please share your thoughts..

The CV reads like a list of job responsibilities and not like a list of achievements in various roles. I suggest using a lot more of industry language and actual results than what is there currently. 1. What are the sites/portals she's using to apply? 2. What does her linkedin profile look like? 3. The industries are not called out clearly - like the first company is clearly EdTech, but the second one is tough to identify (ABC). Her CV won't get shortlisted in a keyword search.
