We import jobs via theirstack API's. How do we handle expired jobs and how can we remove them automatically?
c
Hi @deepak mehta Our recommendation for niche job boards reposting jobs is to repost as soon as TheirStack discovers them and keep them visible for 15 days on their platforms. We don't track if a job is still open right now. We didn't find a customer willing to pay the cost of re-scraping a job every day for 15-30 days to validate if the job is still open. We can do it but we are just waiting to prioritize it.

Instead of rescraping , can you not pull the expiration date in first pull ( if it is available). I think it makes alot of sense to given this feature, otherwise we are just importing the data and job expires within few days .
c
Jobs doesn't have expiration date, what do you mean?
d
does it have expiration date ?
also is it true for all jobs
c
could you give me an example of a job with expiration date?
d
may be we should catch up for 15 mins
d
Chiming in: do you have an indication of what these costs would be?
I’d be interested in the future for sure.

Hi Didier! We don't have a price for this feature yet but it will be around 3x the actual credit cost. Are you available for a meeting? I would like to know more about your use case
@Didier Catz

We could set up a call next week. But to save us some time: since I’m rehosting jobs and matching people with them, a filled/expired job in your results is quite problematic. I’ve seen jobs get filled in a day, and some others not get filled for 1-2 months, so assuming 15 days until expiration isn’t very accurate for our use case.

@Didier Catz i have exact same issue and it is 'making my portal worthless .because i am keeping these jobs up whereas they are expired on external platform
d
Yep. This job, for example, was expired very quickly. It was the most recent result within my search filters.
