I don't strongly identify with the culture/values of the bootstrapper/indie hacker community, despite being a solo bootstrapper myself, at the moment at least. And yet trying to go out and raise funding has never felt like the right thing to do at my current stage either. I apply to YC every 6 months because it's easy (and from what I've heard they don't pressure you to raise more funding afterward or anything); haven't ever tried to get investment otherwise. I did email this guy though! Sounds like he's currently trying to get a fund going (again).
speaking of which, I think the YC application deadline is coming up... ugh

Nice article! Something like this really reminds me of how much of a bubble we were in the past few years with VC funding when investing in companies that have a product and profit is seen as a novel approach
