@sticky-night-20812 has done some cool stuff here: • Customer support app via Chatwoot • Analytics via PostHog

I extensively use custom scripts to augment features in Stacker: • Loading in Google Analytics, Crisp (customer service), Tag Mangers, etc • Creating custom modules within Stacker like changing checkboxes to Toggle Switches • Creating additional dropdown menus • Dynamically inserting content into Stacker based on conditions • Creating the ability to establish a one-to-one relationship when creating records (e.g. setting ticket prices on an event) lots of stuff…

The most common I see are Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and folks come up with a lot of other creative stuff. :)

@sticky-area-45739 @abundant-dinner-65974 @sticky-night-20812 @rough-ability-90113 This is all really fantastic stuff, you guys! I’m very impressed! I have one script that I use in my stacker app for connecting Google Business Profiles to their corresponding record in airtable. I have the script stored on our main website and then I have the url to the file saved as an airtable field. So when the ‘custom scripts’ setting says to “send your scripts over to us and we will add them to your app” how would I then use the script on a particular page or view on stacker?

Scripts can be setup as “run once” or “run per page change”. I’m not sure which would be appropriate, as it depends on how you have things setup in your script.

@rough-ability-90113, do you have on the roadmap the ability to include scripts ourselves? (i.e. without having the process of reaching out to you?) Also, if not, I assume it’s fine if a script link is shared with you and then the contents of the link change? Or do you make a copy and lock it the moment you get the file?
r
It’s something we’ve discussed. I’d encourage you to reach out to support so we can discuss the specific use case and see what might be feasible. :)

@dazzling-battery-14948 You would typically add a single script and have some part of the code trigger only for some pages. I’ve built integrations where I automatically sync the current user data with another system, mostly for CRM. Maybe that’d interest you.

@rough-ability-90113 Are there any resources you can point me to on setting up Google Analytics w/ Stacker?

It should be pretty straight forward, but if you reach out to support we can provide some guidance.
