@high-tomato-50749 do your Google Sheets and Airtable base have any other field or piece of data in common?
h
yes. There are common fields around project name, project code etc. Airtable (and therefore Stacker) has the associated google sheet link as a record too.
I have various automations with make that copies data form the google sheets into airtable

You should be able to craft and output the Stacker URL of a record using a Stacker formula. Something like this:
Copy code
CONCAT("<https://workspacename.stackerhq.com/appname/tablename/view/>", RECORD_ID())
This will craft the link to that record. In my case,
Copy code
CONCAT("<https://meerkatsinc.stackerhq.com/meerkat/evaluation/view/>", RECORD_ID())
outputs
Copy code
<https://meerkatsinc.stackerhq.com/meerkat/evaluation/view/opp_rechvuVsOZq3fz6O4>

You are an absolute legend, thank you!

@high-tomato-50749 What I would also suggest considering is that you create a Stacker Automatic link based on the Project name. This will create a automatic linked record field if the project name matches. With that you would automatically gain the link for free
Here’s an example I’ve made as a test:
And here’s what it looks like in Card view. In your case, the field would be “Project” or something similar.

thank you!

Anytime!

Sorry - one question. I've got the formula working but how do I sync it back to Airtable (as from there I can send it to google sheets using make.com)? I've syncd the schema but it's not appearing in Airtable.
r
Did you perhaps create a Stacker Field? If you don’t add the field to your Airtable base itself, it won’t sync to Airtable as it exists only in Stacker.
h
Yes I did, which I've worked out doesn't sync back to airtable. Is there a different way of using the stacker formula field that will sync back with airtable? Otherwise I'm left with being able to extract the Stacker URL but only being able to access that URL in Stacker, which defeats the purpose. Apologies if I'm asking obvious questions! Thanks.

@high-tomato-50749 You can export tables and it will have all fields including Stacker in it, but it would be a manual process. I might have misunderstood the reason why you want to have this in both data sources. Does the record ID need to be in Google Sheets because someone is looking directly in Google Sheets instead of the Stacker app?
h
Yes, I want the Stacker URL in google sheets as when someone goes direct to the google sheet to edit their time sheet I want an easy way for them to then get into Stacker. I've sorted it with a Zap though. Thanks!
