Hey @clever-alarm-31666, thanks for the question. Not doable right now, but we are working on features that should make this possible. You can vote on the feature here too: https://feedback.stackerhq.com/feature-requests/p/sub-menus-from-other-tables As for the workaround, could you please tell me your use case? We might be able to work something out.

I have 2 tables: (1) Training Assets, and (2) Training Programs. It’s a many-to-many relationship. But I want to have a section in the NAV called “Training” and put both under it. Any ideas?
e
Would it be feasible to have a single table that would contain both, and then have multiple views that show only relevant fields?
From what you said it sounds like a no, but perhaps worth checking

I thought about it…but the challenge would be - how do I make the data show up on this table?…without using Airtable automations.

Fair point, and unfortunately I don’t have a great answer for you—sorry about that. Perhaps one of our Stacker experts will have an idea or two

Thanks Seb. Appreciate it!

It’s my pleasure. We want to make sure we’re building an app that you folks will want to use, so all feedback and feature requests you give us are very valuable. Thank you for making an effort to tell us what works for you, and what doesn’t.

@elegant-eve-85294 +100 for this. I’ve long wanted a “More Options” top-level section that has sub-menus that link to lesser-used tables (e.g. settings tables, etc)

I would also really like to be able to do the opposite, so make a sub-navigation item into a main navigation item. This is because I have one Airtable table which holds x2 distinct data sets (have them in the same table for ease), and it’d be great to use the filters then display as separate main nav items.

Overall, I feel like the navigation menu is too restricting, it’s one of the things that forces us to think our database design differently. I wish a “page” wouldn’t be restricted to one “table”. I wish I could display data from different tables in the same page, and I wish I could have pages that aren’t related to any table. I wish for flexibility.

This is all great feedback—thank you folks.
