Thanks for laying out what you’re seeing so clearly.

When you set the created by field, you don’t need to have it as an editable field within the form—it will be filled automatically *after* the user has created the record.

There’s no way to prefill the field with the user and have it editable, at least not through the Created By feature.

My recommendation would be to hide that field form the form, and that you try creating a record

and either way - my issue is that when I hit "save" the user is NOT set as the creator/owner of that application row

i.e. on airtable the 'user' field is `empty`
