Hey - so for folks coming over today - my sister just called me to tell me she tested positive for COVID. She caught it from her friend’s bf when visiting SF. Timeline: Thur eve a week ago: sister arrives SF, Rochelle & I get J&J Fri - sun: skiing with friends (one of who’s bf now has COVID) Sun: she hangs out here. Outside, masked & distanced for 3 hrs. Then I give her a ride to SF, masked, windows open. Sun-thur: more hanging out with infected friend So she just tested positive with a rapid test a week after I saw her. She’s waiting for the PCR, but she says she feels tired, and has since Friday. We all feel fine. So we’re very likely fine. Source of COVID:Levi Levi’s roommate Christian Christian’s gf Marley Marley’s friend Masha Masha’s brother Gene -Levi Returns to SF March 7th -Christian last sees Marley morning of March 10 -Masha makes contact with Marley (who already had COVID two months ago) March 11th -Masha sees Gene on March 14 -Masha stays with Marley the rest of her time in SF until mar 18. Christian comes over one of those nights -Masha starts feeling tired on mar 19, rapid tests positive mar 21
(Note my sister and her friends are 24, and make decisions accordingly)

So the only contact you had with her was 3 days after your J&J shot, masked/ socially distant and 5 days prior to her feeling any symptoms?

I just got my second Pfizer vaccination yesterday and as expected am really tired today. I am going to stay home and rest so I can be fresh for the week. I’m sorry to hear that your sister and her friends are sick, and I hope that you all (Gene household) are ok given no symptoms and low likelihood (way to go maintaining safe practices). ❤️ I hope you all have fun tonight. Once my two week timeline is up I’ll be much more interested in hanging out (still with safe practices), but I’m so close at this point that I’m totally wanting to just chill until I’m “fully covered/vaccinated”. Keep me posted about future things, specifically happening after April 4th. Sending love. 💕

Yaaaaay. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Update on sister COVID sitch: Her friend (Marley) who my sister stayed with before and after seeing me - just tested negative. Marley had COVID several months ago, so prob immune. Marley’s bf (Chris) is the vector, and while he saw Marley before my sister saw me, he didn’t have direct contact with my sister until he stayed over at Marley’s place after I saw my sister. So while there’s a non-zero chance that Marley had a false negative and was a vector, it’s highly unlikely, and I think we’re fine.
