Are there any Ruby “sister projects” (either literally or spiritually) to Solidus, but with a focus on subscriptions? I’m thinking about a backend for managing plan tiers, trial periods, recurring billing, updating prices over time (so older customers can stay on an older tier), that kind of thing. I had a look on Ruby-toolbox and couldn’t spot anything maintained, but maybe I’m overlooking something?

What kind of products?

I was thinking, basically, “Solidus for SaaS plans”. Non-physical subscriptions, for sure. I wouldn’t want to try to bend Solidus into serving this niche, but there might be something similar out there already.

Braintree Subscriptions or Stripe

I've had great experiences building out subscription systems with Solidus and Stripe. Stripe provides an account management portal that simplifies many parts of it and then building out your own subscription system isn't too big of a lift. Receiving webhooks for subscription updates from Stripe is pretty straightforward as well. I think custom subscription systems is one of the places where Solidus really shines even if it doesn't have a system out of the box.

Plan.. This is like custom product.. A product with list of settings.. Limits and features and periodic option To manage the recurring logic i wud choose stripe Of course you need to build a webhook at your end to receive stripe events Not using stripe,? Its a little bit complex flow that you need to manage it your self Solidus here will manage only the subscription process.. The purchase only Any dolidus extension?
