Just released a new version of the patch loader
flickwerk
with bugfixes and documentation improvements by our lovely community. We encourage everybody to migrate from "Decorators" / "Overrides" (that never should have been called like this) to use flickwerk instead. Many of solidus extensions have been migrated already. https://rubygems.org/gems/flickwerk/versions/0.3.6

BTW: Flickwerk is another great little gem by long standing Solidus' contributor @mamhoff Kudos for the great work on solving class (monkey) patches once and for all. 🎉

I just migrated a lot of my private extensions and most of our client apps to use flickwerk and it works like charm. So, this can be considered stable and proven software.
Read more about it and how to migrate in the README https://github.com/friendlycart/flickwerk?tab=readme-ov-file#flickwerk If you are maintaining a solidus extension (engine) you can simply update to
solidus_support >= 0.14.1
and make sure to
include SolidusSupport::EngineExtensions
in your
engine.rb
and you are ready to migrate your decorators into patches by using
bundle exec flickwerk patchify
.
