I saw that most stores doesn’t use the prefix
/t/
for taxons and
/products/
. Given that most stores probably don’t meet really performance hindering amounts of store categories and pages that hinder performance, do we want to remove it from the starter with maybe some comments or a configuration?
e
Either stripping away all prefixes (with the risk of clashes betwteen product and taxon handles) or using a more sensible prefix for taxons, e.g. in shopify that would be
/collections/
.
v
Eh, is there an easy way to remove them? I thought it would break routing and you would need to keep a record of each type (product or taxonomy) to keep routing working?
f
I think a central way to manage slugs is overdue anyway
v
I would agree, but, is there currently a way to easily remove the prefixes?
f
The prefixes are located in the starter template, so yes, they can be removed easily
