I don't come for help yet just to say hey and thank you for being here helping people 🙂 I have started a few times to write you as I got many issues (where to host, how to host for cheap, dig the documentation, ambiguous mistake due to translations errors, what payment method to use, ...). But hopefully writing down was giving me a direction so I didn't press enter 😄 I am a Ruby/JS developer for a company in France. I started to build a website for my wife's articles who was fed up with Etsy. My challenge is to have a nicer website, better client management (retaining the emails, etc...), better client experience, and easier to administrate than Etsy pattern (the website option for 15$/month). She like to do plenty of things so we think that doing one category of objects in one site will look less messy. So far I estimate the costs to ~5€/month for the hosting on railway and 22€/year for the domain name on DNSIMPLE. I start to learn about ecommerce good practices also. That's a new world to me. I feel like having a real boutique it's exciting.
