Do any of you guys have a store calculating shipping rates through external API hits? I'd like to have a store such as that.

Like asking FedEx for live rates based on shipping destination?

Solidus changed just a bit since I last visited and I found this recently on the main website. This feature is already implemented but I'm unsure about how it works as of yet.

I ended up writing my own. I'm going to try to get it to a point where I can share it, but right now it's a mess because I just had to get something working xD

Haha no problem. I got quite a few jobs to do before I can actually implement this. Hit me up if you get it working. I just saw the extensions.

If you're looking at FedEx specifically (that's what I needed), there's a generic FedEx gem that I pulled into a custom shipping calculator. The solidus docs were pretty good for getting me through it.
