A couple questions for those of you who’ve maintained storefronts for a while: 1. Do you typically build out your own custom frontend using the views? How difficult is it to stay up-to-date? 2. If you don’t build and use the provided, what’s the Deface/override story like? Thanks!

if we start a project form scratch, we always chose to build frontend from scratch except checkout, we customize checkout, it's easy to stay up to date using presenters between the controllers and the views, we use normal decorators Solidus now is super flexible about reading pretty much everything from configs, we can replace behavior without overriding classes, we only us deface to modify the admin panel, we do not use it for frontend

Yeah, I would never use deface for the frontend. Either go the solidus_starter_frontend path or the standard override views from solidus_frontend path.

Never maintained one but currently building one with the standard override views. It takes some time to familiarize yourself with how things work if you want to tweak them but works pretty well so far and haven't stumbled across any unsolvable problem.
