Good morning everyone, I've been checking the documentation and wanted to install it to a server in production environment but I could not find any documentation for production environments as in on instances like VPS servers. Is there any documentation available for that or is that something I have to figure out myself?

Hello! Deploying Solidus to a VPS is not different from deploying any Rails application. You can follow any guide online for that, for example https://gorails.com/deploy/ubuntu/20.04

Sorry for late reply, capistrano is unfortunately not a good solution in my case. Is there a way to set it up and update it entirely through a terminal?

Hi @Daan Montijn there are quite a few options out there for hosting Rails. I think these days most people just put it on Heroku and call it a day. If you want more control over the servers you’re buying, hatchbox and cloud66 are two options. When I was getting started with Solidus, I looked at using Ansible to do the job, which certainly seemed possible but more than I felt like dealing with.

@Daan Montijn could you elaborate on what you mean with “entirely through a terminal”? Because in my mind Capistrano runs in a terminal.

@mtylty I meant as setting it up yourself not through rails or ansible however, I found the solution already ^^

Maybe use Dokku?
