When I read the sentence that said something to tune "Kids drink juice and hand over the cup to the closest grown-up", I was taken aback.
I was reading a book called "Nothing Much Happens". This book has got really boring stories where, as the title suggests, nothing really happens. The book is designed to help you sleep.
I like this book a lot and for the most part, it's written pretty well and it mostly achieves its purpose of putting me to sleep.
Except this one line where kids are drinking juice from a cup.
I mean, who uses cups for drinking juice!
Forget kids, even adults uses glasses for juice.
This is where I think the book's editor made an error.
If I were the book's editor, I would put this comment on the word "cup":
"Typically, most kids don't use cups for anything. Adults use cups for tea/coffee and most parents would don't want their kids to drink tea/coffee on playdates with neighbours.
I'd suggest use glass instead of cup as that's more logically appropriate".
This is just one example of how I edit.
I am looking for 1-2 editing clients for current quarter. This is a new service I am offering and I am looking to grow with a few trustworthy clients. My past work includes Google Page #1 blogs for clients like EngageBay and Rumble Studio.
If you want to know if I am any good as an Editor, here are some comments from people I work with.
