It is possible, more so in certain activities than in others but I usually don't go to that extent. I try to prevent this from happening at the campaign planning stage itself. The answer lies in creating non-overlapping audience segments. Even after that this may happen for a small percentage of audience, but that is okay. Just make sure the different messaging are not highlighting entirely different USPs. They should be different variations of the same USP, for the sake of testing. Different USPs should be tested sequentially and not parallely.

I always try to prioritize one kind of segment over other so that overlapping won't happen. Prioritization can be done by any metrics like revenue, pipeline, etc.

So, the best practice is to design/prioritize appropriately and prevent duplication from happening in the first place .. Thanks both!
