whats accurate mean for you?
m
(Results = No big difference in leads on Meta Dashboard vs Your CRM) No big difference in the leads acquired on your Meta dashboard and CRM
s
I suppose if leads transparency is all that you are aiming then a 1 day window with a last click attribution will work better
m
Is 1 day click the same as last click attribution, Samyak?
Have you seen good results on Meta with this?
s
Hey @Melvin , as far as you do last click attribution you will get the last touch before the conversion event The window could be 1-7 days, which basically means if a conversion event fires post the ad interaction, the last ad interacted would be attributed This is the case when we consider attribution as measured by ad platforms, if you’re doing attribution from a centralised system, it may also consider the organic or paid social engagements before the conversion event If you’re just looking for accurate lead numbers, the shorted the window, the better

Thank you for taking out the time to explain, Samyak

@Aniruddh Jain what do you think?
@Melvin have you implemented cookie consent pop-up that does all marketing tracking only when consent is given!
m
Yup
a
@Niranjan Bala just spoke with melvin as well. i dont have much experience with this πŸ™‚
n
imo - the article has some truth but they have also mixed a bit of masala and fiction into it.

m
What's the masala and fiction part?
n
that facebook's modelling is that straight forward and it considers conversion rate of other companies in your industry/region etc
there is no official documentation on how they proceed with modelling.
m
Yes. Here's the video version of the article :

n
if we can break it down to cohort #1: facebook can track it super effectively and knows a complete journey (using its own data of ip/device to user mapping) cohort #2: facebook can track it but has limited information to understand the complete journey cohort #3: facebook can not track at all - consent blocked/ad-blocker blocked
n
for large enough enough sample size of your website - FB's ML algo will figure out how to handle 2 and 3 is what i think
m
Makes sense Niranjan
Large enough sample size of website - meaning, more traffic?
n
but i dont honestly dont think that it just picks - conversion rate of category and apply

i would assume the CVR would be based off your site data
πŸ‘ 1
for e.g if it has collected data bout 10k visitors from bangalore - it will have sense of cvr of that cohort
numbers are just representational πŸ™‚
πŸ™Œ 1
cohort #3 - i have vague idea that it would be collaborating with consent handling companies to figure what the %ge of visitors blocking consent
i know its just simplistic - it might use like another 100s of parameters to do that πŸ™‚
since a lot of modelling has to run on your data to figure conversions - apple has made sure of that for a long time πŸ˜›
move to server side tagging πŸ™‚

sometime back i would be the person in the above image. now i'm moving towards a person in the below image. focus on right audience and right messaging and leave the number crunching to the algorithms. the above discussions reminds me of this.
