@AI Evy one of our client is using Google Voice and they forward their business number to their agent number. But when the agent picks up the call, Google Voice says "In case of a fast pickup, we ask you to let us know that you are not a voice mail system, so you need to press one to take this call.". Is there any way to turn this off in Google Voice settings? I have asked the client to turn off "Call Screening" and tried to do everything that I know, but still I can't seem to turn it off. I know I can make the agent press '1' as soon as the call is picked up, but I want to know about this for my own understanding.

Thanks for tagging me @Bangash. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer I don't have information about Google Voice's call screening settings, since that's a Google Voice product feature rather than something documented in the Retell AI sources. For the Retell AI side of this, having the agent press '1' immediately on pickup is a reasonable workaround, though this would need to be configured through DTMF/keypad input handling rather than Google Voice settings. To capture or send keypad input, that falls under DTMF functionality referenced in the voicemail/IVR documentation [(1) ]() , though the specific setup for sending an outbound DTMF press on pickup isn't detailed in the sources I have. If you want, I can look at what's documented around IVR navigation and DTMF more closely, but turning off Google Voice's screening prompt itself isn't something covered in these sources. Check out these potentially useful sources: [Handle voicemail and IVR]() , [Connect Retell voice agents to custom telephony]()
