Thanks for tagging me @VI. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer Retell AI webhooks have a timeout of 10 seconds [(1) ]() . If within 10 seconds no success status (2xx) is received, the webhook will be retried, up to 3 times . The webhook will be triggered in order, but is not blocking . For chat webhooks specifically, Retell AI supports the following webhook events : - `chat_started`: Triggered when a new chat begins - `chat_ended`: Triggered when a chat completes or errors out - `chat_analyzed`: Triggered when chat analysis is complete To troubleshoot your webhook issue: 1. **Verify webhook registration**: Check that your webhook URL is properly registered either at the account-level (through the dashboard's webhooks tab) or at the agent-level (via the
webhook_url
field when creating the agent) . 2. **Check webhook events filter**: You can limit which events are delivered per agent using the
webhook_events
field when creating or updating an agent [(1) ]() [(2) ]() . The chat agent default includes
chat_started
,
chat_ended
, and
chat_analyzed
[(1) ]() . 3. **Verify webhook signature**: Use the
x-retell-signature
header together with your Retell API Key to verify the webhook is coming from Retell . You can also allowlist Retell IP addresses:
100.20.5.228
. If your webhook isn't being called when a chat expires, ensure your endpoint returns a 2xx status code within 10 seconds and that you haven't filtered out the
chat_ended
event in your agent configuration [(1) ]() [(2) ]() .
