### Answer I don't see a
{{current_date}}
variable in the documentation [(1) ]() . The system provides
{{current_time}}
which returns the current time in
America/Los_Angeles
timezone by default . If you're seeing April 2 instead of April 1, this could be due to: 1. Timezone differences -
{{current_time}}
defaults to
America/Los_Angeles
(PST/PDT) . You can specify a different timezone using
{{current_time_[timezone]}}
. For example:
{{current_time_Australia/Sydney}}
. 2. You might need a custom dynamic variable - Several community members have reported issues with date handling and recommend passing the current date as a custom dynamic variable from your backend rather than relying on system variables [(2) ]() [(3) ]() . To set a custom date variable, you can: - Use the inbound webhook to pass dynamic variables when the call starts [(1) ]() - Set default dynamic variables at the agent level - Pass them via the API when creating a call [(4) ]() All values in
retell_llm_dynamic_variables
must be strings [(1) ]() .
