@AI Evy I am the owner of workspace org_sbW3pHyOtv6QXgsG. I am trying to import existing Twilio phone numbers for my project, but the "Twilio Configuration" section is missing from my General Settings menu, and the "Import from Twilio" option is not appearing in the Phone Numbers tab. Could you please enable "Custom Twilio" or the "Twilio Import" feature for this workspace? "The number +16029320967 doesn't appear in my Retell dashboard or via the API (GET returns 404), so I can't delete it from my end. Can you delete any internal/partial record for this number on your side? It was from a failed import attempt that returned 402 before I added billing info. The number already exists in my Twilio account (SID: PNf948c69c100c08e3a3b8f6c99cb3b009) — I just need to import it into Retell, not the other way around."

### Answer The "Connect via SIP Trunking" option is the recommended method to integrate your Twilio number with Retell AI [(1) ]() . The documentation doesn't mention a separate "Telephony Provider → Twilio" or "Import from Twilio" option in the dashboard . To import your existing Twilio number (+16029320967) , follow these steps: 1. Create Elastic SIP Trunking in Twilio [(2) ]() - Create the trunk and give it a name - Setup termination (for outbound calls) with a termination SIP URI - Whitelist IP addresses or create authentication with username and password - Setup origination (for inbound calls) by specifying Retell's SIP server address:
sip:sip.retellai.com
2. Move your Twilio number to the Elastic SIP Trunk 3. Import the number to Retell [(2) ]() [(3) ]() - Go to Phone Numbers → "Connect via SIP Trunking" [(1) ]() - Enter your Twilio number, Termination SIP URI, and SIP credentials (if using them) - You can also import programmatically via the Import Number API [(2) ]() Regarding the "phone number already exists" issue: When a phone number shows as "already exists" but isn't visible in your workspace, the Retell team can help resolve this [(4) ]() . For proof of ownership, a screenshot from your Twilio console showing the phone number with the Phone Number SID is acceptable . You'll also need to provide your Organization ID (org_sbW3pHyOtv6QXgsG) . The recommended channel for this type of support request is Discord, where the Retell team can directly assi
st with backend number registry issues . In similar cases, the team was able to investigate and resolve the issue within 24-48 hours after receiving the organization ID and proof of ownership . Join [Discord]() or visit [Contact Sales]() for direct assistance with clearing the backend registry for your number.

Thanks for the follow-up, @jonblaze#1564. I'll get back to you soon.
### Answer Great! If you discovered you already had a Retell workspace and were attempting to create a duplicate, that explains the issue with the number appearing as "already exists." Once you're working in your original workspace, you should be able to import your Twilio number (+16029320967) using the elastic SIP trunking method [(1) ]() . Make sure you: 1. Create the elastic SIP trunk in Twilio with proper termination and origination settings 2. Move your number to that trunk 3. Import it to Retell by supplying the termination SIP URI and credentials (if using authentication) [(1) ]() [(2) ]() If the number still shows as existing in Retell but isn't visible in your workspace, you can delete it from the dashboard or programmatically via the Delete Number API [(1) ]() . After deletion, you can re-import it with the correct configuration [(1) ]() [(2) ]() . Feel free to follow up if you encounter any issues during the import process!
