We're using Retell AI to make outbound calls to phone numbers, so we need to rely on phone calls rather than web calls.

One of the features we need is to be able to monitor live phone calls and receive the real time pcm audio bytes to play back in our react-based web app and/or play back a real time transcript while the call is happening?
Also, is it possible for the operator (in the web app), to interrupt or inject information into a live phone call?

I see that there is an audio websocket but it's deprecated: https://docs.retellai.com/api-references/audio-websocket

Another option I'm thinking about is if I use a Twilio phone number and bind that to my Retell agent, can I use Twilio's tooling to stream back the audio and transcript?

This is viable if you use the dial to sip method
