@AI Evy RetelleAI implemented a new feature for the Global transitions: Go back to the previous node. How do i configure this? There is 0 documentation on it. Could you give me some examples for implementing these?

Thanks for tagging me @Simran. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer I don't have documentation on a native "Go back to the previous node" feature for Global Nodes in Retell AI. Based on the available sources, returning from a Global Node to the original conversation position is described as an architectural limitation that is not currently supported natively. [(1) ]() However, community members have shared a workaround approach: Workaround using a tracking variable: 1. Define a variable like
last_node
in your first prompt node [(2) ]() 2. Update this variable in each prompt node to store the current node name/ID 3. After your Global Node, connect to a branch node with prompt conditions that check the
last_node
value to redirect back to the expected node Important notes: - Equation conditions won't work with prompt-defined variables for this purpose - Prompt-defined variables must not use
{{}}
syntax If Retell AI has released a new native feature for this that isn't yet documented, I'd recommend: - Reaching out via [Contact Sales]() - Checking [Retell AI GitHub]() Would you like me to provide a general answer on how such a feature might typically work, or would you prefer to wait for official documentation?
