Post-dial DTMF support with comma separated syntax
# ❓・bug-report
u
Does Retell support post-dial DTMF sequences in the dial string, for example: +1XXXXXXXXXX,1234# We are trying to automate the input of code without having user to dial in but i don't see a solution for this so far.

Retell does not support post-dial DTMF sequences directly in the dial string (like +1XXXXXXXXXX,1234#)
but you can add Press Digit Tool/Node
or digit_to_press parameter

Do you mind expanding on how that works or point to a reference in the docs so i can look into that?
I just checked and it seems like that won't work in our case. We want to capture the DTMF sequences automatically when user calls with the abovementioned sequence. In our scenario, we plan to send user a message with our number and a pin code and once they click they dial our retell agent with +1XX:XXX; sequence. We just want to read the PIN automatically to avoid friction with user.

yes for your case retell does not support it but you can try alternative like custom telephony, you could potentially pass the PIN code via custom SIP headers (headers starting with X-)
these are automatically extracted and added you daynamic variable
