### Answer --- Based on the available sources, I don't have specific documentation on built-in date validation or format enforcement for date of birth verification in Retell AI. However, here are some approaches you can consider: 1. Use prompt instructions to enforce format You can tell the agent in your prompt how to format dates and give an example. [(1) ]() For instance, specify in your prompt: - The exact format you expect (e.g., "MM/DD/YYYY") - Ask the agent to repeat back the date in a specific format for confirmation - Instruct the agent to clarify ambiguous inputs (e.g., "Did you mean March 5th or May 3rd?") 2. Use a Custom Function for validation You can create a custom function that validates the date format against your expected pattern before accepting it. This would allow you to programmatically check if the spoken date matches your required format. [(2) ]() *3. Consider using User Keypad Input (DTMF) * For critical data like date of birth, you might want to use the keypad input feature to have users enter their DOB numerically, which improves accuracy. Check out these potentially useful sources for more details: - [Custom Function]() - [User DTMF Input]() Would you like me to provide a general answer on date validation logic you could implement?
