@AI Evy is it normal to have like > 2 seconds of unexplained end to end latency? in some of my calls, the medians of my transcription, llm, and TTS latencies are < 2 seconds, but median of end to end latency is > 4 seconds

Thanks for tagging me @ianspektor. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer No, that's not typical. If your P90 end-to-end latency exceeds 3 seconds, you should troubleshoot. [(1) ]() End-to-end latency measures the total time from when the user stops speaking until the AI agent begins responding, which includes processing time, network delays, and model inference time. [(2) ]() A few things to check: 1. Geographic distance – International phone calls may introduce additional latency. Consider getting a local phone number in the same region as your users. [(1) ]() 2. Network routing – Even when individual component latencies (ASR, LLM, TTS) look normal, high end-to-end delay can point to network routing or backend congestion. [(3) ]() 3. Check the Status Page – Visit [status.retellai.com]() for any ongoing issues. [(1) ]() 4. LLM response time – Compare against the normal range (500ms–900ms) . If consistently above 900ms, consider using the [fast tier]() or switching LLM providers. If these steps don't resolve it, contact support with your call ID, steps tried, and current latency measurements.
