You can buy a phone number in two ways:

**From the Dashboard:**
1. Go to the "Phone Numbers" tab [(1) ](<https://docs.retellai.com/get-started/quick-start>)
2. Click "Buy New Number" 
3. Optionally specify an area code [(2) ](<https://docs.retellai.com/deploy/purchase-number>)
4. Purchase your number [(1) ](<https://docs.retellai.com/get-started/quick-start>)
5. Assign your agent to the number 

Note: You'll need to add a payment method in the "Billing" tab before purchasing. 

**From the API:**

const phoneNumberResponse = await retell.phoneNumber.create({
  inbound_agent_id: "oBeDLoLOeuAbiuaMFXRtDOLriTJ5tSxD",
  outbound_agent_id: "oBeDLoLOeuAbiuaMFXRtDOLriTJ5tSxD",

**Pricing:**
- US numbers (Twilio or Telnyx) : $2/month 
- US toll-free numbers (Twilio) : $5/month 
- Canadian numbers (Twilio) : $2/month 

Currently, only US and Canada numbers are supported through Retell.
