I recently finished Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson. It was the best book on Jobs until now!

Is it balanced and portrays both sides of his character?
I read Elon Musk's biography by Ashlee Vance and it read more like a lopsided fanfic than an objective biography! ๐คจ

Yes! That's why I loved it. There are possibly more negative things (like him being manipulative, dishonest, depressed, crying, delusional, hypocritical, etc) than the good ones which we hear in pop culture. Also the author's note at the end is a very sensible take. Jobs was essentially a complex person.
Also thanks, I'd skip the Musk book now.

This was my first non fiction read, and I too loved reading it

@thousands-morning-63911 the incident is mentioned in the book. The book was sanctioned by Jobs although the author claims that Jobs had no role in editing it. That's why I said it's the best literature on Jobs until now, I haven't found anything better.

Ok then my memory is not serving me right. I know it is sanctioned by jobs and WI was very reluctant to even meet him, but jobs was stubbornly insistent that only WI write his biography.
