As per my brother’s experience with Singapore purchased Apple watch (GPS only), he got his Apple watch replaced under warranty. But the service center asked for the purchase bill to make sure that it is a valid purchase in the foreign country. AFAIK Apple warranty is valid internationally on valid purchases.

@big-machine-42854 does your cellular apple watch work with indian carriers?
b
I bought the GPS model from US, skipped cellular, I realised that it didnt fit my use case as I’ll be carrying my phone pretty much everywhere 🙂

I had US purchased cellular Apple watch 3 when it was out. It didn’t work for Indian carriers at that time.

https://www.apple.com/in/watch/cellular/ There are basically 2 models, one that works in US and Canada, and the other one for the rest of the world. The only difference is that the global one supports one additional band (UMTS 900 MHz), so the US one should technically work in India unless there are additional carrier checks, etc in the software. Safer bet would be to get the global one. I’ve got one from Dubai, never had a hiccup
