I’ve want to try water only fast this week. Does anyone know a good electrolytes powder that wouldn’t break my fast?
I’m learning that I should roll my own. So I need 3 things Sodium Potassium Magnesium
I can get supplement for magnesium And Sodium from table salt
Just have to check the source for potassium

Have you looked at: Shunya Go and Beyond Water? When I tried this a couple of years ago, 0 cal electrolytes were not available - but I can see a bunch of options today. (They are 3 cal & 1.2 cal respectively - but I think that should be ok). I had to call off my experiment after 72h due to insane headaches. Let us know how it goes for you and what you tried. (I stuck to lemon juice + himalayan salt) but that wasn't enough.

I don’t know about the above two. Lot of these just seem like marketing gimmicks.
Yeah I think you were probably low on potassium
Himalayan salt doesn’t have potassium
Anything longer than 36 hours and you should definitely take magnesium too.
And I think 72 hours is probably a good limit. You don’t get much benefit after that other than fat loss. Also you start lossing your muscle too!

Haha .. I was going for 5 days 😬 It is tough. I definitely think you should gradually dial it up -- and also prep properly. The hunger was not a major issue (not after 48h anyways). It was the headaches and the inability to function OK. So need to figure out a good time to do this as well.

I have done it few times before. But haven’t done any fast in last year. So wanted to start doing it again.
Usually depending on how long did I do the fast I’ll have something like avocado, or lentil soup, or vegetables, or dry fruits, etc Nothing heavy on carbs.
Mostly I’ll try and eat only one or two meals on the day I break fast
I can go back to my normal schedule after a day if I’m only doing 48 hours fast. If it’s any longer, I probably have to ease in in the next few days

It has 14gm of dextrose anhydrous (sugar) 🙃
Anyways I did 48 hours on just Tata salt lite. I couldn’t find magnesium at the local pharmacy. I did had some headaches near the end (probably because I was low on potassium)

Last year I lost around 20kg on Keto and Fasting. For water fasting or even on keto. This was my electrolytes combination - Himalayan Pink Salt Baking Powder (Optional if you are not dry fasting) Sodium Chloride (Hard to find in India)
