Since the workspace has limitations on number of messages, is there any way here to track old threads, so that we don’t keep asking the same questions again and again ? Because I think we should let the important threads and resources loos on limited workspace. This could be a treasure on long run.
For example, I want to refresh the discussions on the taxations that happened sometime back, but I have not kept any notes at my own level.

Slack does allow you to download an archive of all messages which I’d want to convert into something useful using technology

Once archive is downloaded, can that be opened in a readable format anywhere ?

Please, ASAP 😉

It'd be better if we can curate good threats for future reference?
c
We can do that. I already use some code to resurface the good conversations for the newsletter.
I am just not sure about the design of the end product. Things like Does it need search ?

May be we can make a sheet/notion board to let members to add threads to it from the slack( If there are any technical possibility), sort of collaboration based sheet which is updated based on set inputs fields. A crowdsourced type documentation.

search can be achieved through filters and subfilters , rather than putting a a search box at first place. Think of it as a forum, where one reach to a subject using threads and subthreads. I think this is where discourse would have been useful.

There are slack archiving bots that exist. Why not repurpose those
Or use them, rather, since this is one of the intended use cases for thrm
