@many-lawyer-26486 can I DM you ? I have been exploring super-topup schemes to cover my family on top of company provided insurance, or a part of my savings working as base.
I have explored couple of metrics like solvency ratio, claim:settlement ratio, claim settlement efficiency, claim rejections. And based on these I shortlisted Bajaj Allianz, Magma, New India (I know), HDFC and Edelweiss - In that order.
What I am not sure, though, is what terms should I watch out for in their schemes. I know few obvious ones like room rent capping. But what are some lesser known things in the scheme document that I should check ? I recently learnt that if you develop any genetic disorder, most of the health insurance providers will reject your claim. I want to make list of all such things and then take out some time and do indepth comparison of schemes from these providers.
If you could guide me in the right direction, that would be extremely helpful.
