Filed a complaint against Amazon on Consumer Helpline and this was their response. I had to scream and shout to get my money back but take a look at their pathetic response to the Consumer Helpline ticket - "We are just an intermediary so we are not responsible" We really need more regulation and better consumer protection laws.

Did they refund you?

Yep. Took a lot of screaming and shouting to finally get my money back. I hate doing it but I was very polite and calm for the first 2 weeks so they were just fooling around with me. Every call, there was a standard response - "please wait 24-48 hours" What's funny is that they somehow figured out how to arrange a pickup after they refunded my money back. For 3 weeks nobody was calling me or showing up at my door regarding pickup. As soon as they refunded my money, someone called for pickup immediately. As long as your money is stuck, they don't give a f*ck. But when their money is at stake, see how they immediately arranged a pickup. F*ck them. I'll be buying more from local sellers and stores now

Agree this is why I have mild anxiety whenever I try to purchase an expensive item. I just know that neither the company nor the seller will give a shit. That is why I almost always tend to prefer buying from Croma and Vijay Sales, they are marginally better than the rest in helping the customer
