Question for mobile app developers:
We have a react native app that's working fine on emulator but crashing on a physical (iOS) device. Is there a way for us to log the issues and retrieve those logs from the device?
We're very new to mobile development, so feel free to point out any noob mistakes we might be making or standard practices that we can adopt.

Use an error logging service like Crashlytics or sentry. https://rnfirebase.io/crashlytics/usage It would show the entire stack trace for errors and also analytics on how many users/devices faced this crash, how many crash free sessions did you have this month etc.
In addition I’d recommend codepush for React native for over the air (OTA) updates so you can by pass the App Store in some cases and release app versions.

Thanks for the inputs Jatin! I'll try using Sentry and see if it helps us get more insights into why the app is crashing. Codepush is a little early for us because we're still building our first stable version. But I'll keep it in mind.

No worries. Feel free to ask me any more questions in DM if you have. 👍 (Context: I specifically worked on React Native (from an early stage) in my previous role.)

adb logcat
this comes in handy for android devices

Thanks Rahul! I'll try it out.

Isn’t safari technology preview helping you to debug while device is physically connected and app is running in iOS device though usb?

@elegant-rose-70104 I haven't tried that tbh, I have been uploading the app to testflight or using expo. Will give it a shot!
