One quick question if we are working as a employee in US based company not freelancer or contract basis thendo we still need to have GST number if amount received per yr is going to greater than 20lakh?

@echoing-computer-87366 AFAIK you cannot work as "employee" in US based company unless: • Your company has a subsidiary company registered in India OR • Your company manages payroll via some intermediary like remote.com Edit: Clarification: you can ofcourse work as contractor - but not as "employee".
