09/06/2021, 4:36 AMI usually find that going for one version lesser than the newest iPhone model usually gives the biggest bang for the buck.
I currently have an XR for 2 years now which is pretty good and I think I can pull another year or two from it.
My wife has the 11 and that has better photos due to the dual camera — but performance wise, I haven’t felt the need to upgrade yet.

09/06/2021, 4:40 AMI’d have suggested iPhone 12 Pro but if rumours are to be believed and if iPhone 13 is getting 120hz pro-motion, 60hz on 12 is a deal breaker for me, I’m moving off Android to iPhone 13 only if it gets 120hz (not to mention camera, timely software updates and that damn ecosystem synergy).

09/06/2021, 5:51 AMDecision making 101: If you can wait, don't even ask the question right now. i.e. your decision to wait shouldn't depend on iPhone 12 Pro vs iPhone 13 — it doesn't make a difference in your waiting.
If your current phone is in a bad shape, then make the decision now.
About phones, my recommendation is to buy the best iPhone available currently. Can consider Pixel as a good alternative. Other phones are nowhere near these two.

I'm also planning to get the 12 when 13 comes out, possibly wait for diwali offers as well.

09/06/2021, 8:05 AMI am waiting for iPhone 13 and Pixel 6. They should be out in 30-60 days. When they are out, I will wait for 2 weeks to see their reviews, then buy if they live up to the hype.
Hoping Pixel 6 is a success as I would love to stay in the Android ecosystem.
