RI community, I'm looking for some suggestions on how one can create a bank account in EU to receive EUR by staying in India. Is there any neo-bank? Appreciate your help!

Payoneer. They create global accounts on your behalf. Do note that the amount you receive in EUR will be auto-redeemed to INR and eventually transferred to your Indian bank account.

Does EEFC account work in that case? ICICI and HDFC provide such accounts. (there might be other banks too, but a quick google search showed me these).

@aloof-translator-69000 Why do you need a bank account in EU? You can receive EUR in your Indian accounts too. This would make sense, for example, if you were setting up a website and expected lots of small payments in EURs where it wouldn't make sense to pay the bank transfer charges every time to an Indian bank. But if you're expecting 1-2 tranfers a month, just getting it to a local bank account would be easier both from a tax and maintenance angle.
