Calling all Pune folks!! We are planning for a quick meet and greet in coming weeks. Folks who are comfortable meeting in person please respond with a couple of choice of location (Baner/KP/SB Road) and dates/times, for easy scheduling.

Do we have any specific location in mind? I live in Baner and would love to join 🙂

Yeah, we shouldn't call it a Pune meetup. 😉 We'll need 3 meetups: • Shire-meetup (Magarpatta, KP) • Moria-meetup (SB road) • Gondor-meetup (Baner)

I know Amit is kidding but I don’t think Pune is such a big city that we need to worry about this. In 30-45m and 150 bucks by cab, you can probably reach most places (and I mean KP, SB Road & Baner).

@loud-glass-33663 it takes me almost 1 hour for Viman Nagar / KP for me from other side of the city (PCMC). Magarpatta is even worse, extending to 2 hours at times. I dread that place. That’s why I said Baner - it is exactly 40m.

Ah ok. @wide-twilight-82330 Gotcha. Though folks living at PCMC don’t consider it to come under “Pune” technically 😉

I feel the easiest way to plan these meetups is for 2-3 folks who are “definitely” meeting pick a time & place and then announce it to everybody else who can try and make it. We have met up in person before covid on 2 occasions - once at German Bakery IIRC and another time at Toit (Kalyani Nagar). Saturday morning / afternoon types. They were good. Always good to put a face to a DP and a nickname on Slack. The 2nd meetup (Toit) was triggered due to some folks traveling to Pune for the NH7 thingy. Good times.

@loud-glass-33663 only half kidding. It takes me an hour to hit the Mumbai-Pune expressway at 6am. 😕 In any case, weekdays are out of the question for me. And I'll be out of the country next month. So, I agree. Just announce a time and place and if I can join I will. I've used Doodle for getting people to agree on date and time with a lot of success before.
