People who are working in EU/UK companies , how do you cope up with understanding the English accent of your colleagues ? Did you take any kind of help in the early days of your company like tools etc or does it came naturally as days gone by ..
f
Just experience. Work for enough long time and you can even identify accents and countries that they belong to. 😉

You get used to it. I found video calls with cameras on helped understand them better with their facial expressions. Soon you'll pick the nuances and as kushal said, you’ll identify accents across countries

Thanks @modern-table-48211 and @flat-morning-91037 . Will any tool/headphones/earphones with noise cancellation add any value in understanding their accents better in the first few weeks.

Nothing special, just regular headphones that work for you should be sufficient, but yes, calls with video on is really helpful.

Definitely. Headphones will cutout outside noise and help you focus better. Don't hesitate to ask them to repeat slowly/loudly.

Pro tip: Regularly watch the news broadcast of that region.

Not kidding when I say that I found my experience of watching movies and tv series without subtitles very helpful.
