Hey folks! Did anyone recently apply for a re-issue of their passport due to water damage? Annexure F is required to be submitted with the application. Is this needed on a plain paper or needs some sort of notarisation? I couldn’t find any information on the website and their call centre is unresponsive when I called last time. Also, how much time did it take for the new passport to arrive in case of Normal Processing?

I am almost sure you just need to print the annexure on a paper and fill it by hand without having to notarise it. You can always confirm it by calling their helpline. I had renewed my passport in oct 2021 and got it within 9 days of submission of my documents with normal process.

Thanks for the info @fresh-teacher-33727! I ended up going to the PSLK in my city and talked to the APO. He also told to just fill the form on a plain paper and submit. No notarisation required.

I live in Pune so I went to PSK in Pune. I would say Tatkal if it is urgent if not then just go for Normal. With tatkal they claim to dispatch your passport by 3rd working day and do your PV afterwards. However my brother just submitted his application under Tatkal for renewal yesterday and they said they will do the PV first. Just want to warn you to not rely on tatkal too much. I think that is an exception and probably also depends on the mood of the officer that is assessing your documents.

PV is non-issue for me. My address isn’t changing. I am guessing PV would be optional in that case?

PV is done as a security measure even if you don't change your address.
