Hey folks, I need some rough opinions from users of the foam mattresses from brands like Wakefit, Sleepyhead. Are you happy with them? Would/do you use them if you have back pain?
q
Used Wakefit mattress and it didn't resolve my backpain. It worsened it instead. Also, the foam generated a lot of heat and sweat making it uncomfortable to sleep for more than 15mins. Returned the mattress and using regular coir and foam mattress. For those who have backpain, just try getting a new mattress if the old one is used for too long, or switch the sides regularly. That's my personal and all family members experience.

I have back pain issues and I have trouble with foam mattresses. These are for the hostel. I don't want to cut my budget for sleep so asking you all. Coir with medium density foam gives much more comfort inn general but more expensive. Let's see what others say.

I used to get back pain when I slept on spring mattress. I switched to Wakefit memory foam and my sleep quality improved a lot. I haven’t had any back issues as well. Ever since then I’ve been recommending Wakefit to others. I’ve bought 3 of them for my family now. It took me some time to get used to the memory foam though.

I vaguely remember being a bit uncomfortable and having back pain in the mornings during the initial days

Interesting to hear this, but @ancient-fireman-19380 have you compared to coir mattress. Spring mattress is notorious for back, that's well known.

I’m using the wakefit memory foam mattress with 8 inches thickness for 3-4 years now and I’m happy with it

@wide-carpet-65149 I've used coir mattresses long back. Tbh, I don't recall my experience with it enough to compare those.

Okay I see. To be honest getting them online makes more sense to me. I just wanted to know what's the general impression.

I have an ergo mattress from Flo mattresses. Very happy with the quality and comfort, but my mattress cover had a stitch defect and getting it replaced was a PITA. I decided to live with it since it wasn’t a major issue and I can get it fixed from a local tailor

Well, the regular foam mattress was causing so much back pain, so I got a 2’ memory foam topper and 2 memory foam pillows. Sleep quality has been much better and there hasn't been any back pain. I agree with @ancient-fireman-19380 that it felt funny in the beginning though. Id also stay away from spring mattress. They feel good for a short time but they'd wreck your sleep quality. At least in my experience.
