If you are working as a contractor, you don't have paid leaves (ideally). For me, I have a daily rate with my client, and I invoice them every month with the number of days I worked the previous month x daily rate. I can take leaves if I want to, as long as it's informed well in advance. However, I don't get to bill those days.

For me they are going to provide most of the benefits as per German employee but have done freelance contract solely for tax purposes on both ends.

Some people used the Indian holiday calender followed by remote.com

For me, Indian Holidays capped to 15 and also 15 days paid off per year.
