Hi Tribe, What to expect in a hiring manager round (this is the final round after all technical rounds)? I will be appearing for a manager round for the first time. HR mentioned that manager will discuss about the role at the org, my expectations with the role, culture fit etc. Can someone throw some light on this and share their experience with manager round and maybe managers can can share their experience too with this, what exactly they look when they say culture fit?

I recently attended a HR round and it mostly varies with the person doing the interview also. Generally. They ask about what your expectations of the role, why your changing jobs, sometimes some scenario based questions like what would you do when you have a conflict with your colleague etc

Needs more context as this is highly driven by geographies. Is the company based in India? Outside India?

@thousands-finland-78878 - This is with the hiring manager, not with the HR. @brash-monitor-80970 - India.

Sorry I misspelled there as hr, it's for manager round only

If it's India, I am sure you will pass. 😅 But this round is specifically for you to figure out what manager you're gonna work with. How team processes are, team strength, team goals, your role play in next few months of team. Learn about manager personality

Its more of a thing that I have seen in EU, good to see its being implemented in India too. This typically happens as a litmus test the hiring manager i.e. most likely the manager you will report to conducts. Also they try to check if you fit into the way of working of the team etc. Unless, there isn't a big variation between your CV profile and your actual profile, you should do fine.

@wide-toddler-69594 Hiring is hard right now in market If you crossed their tech level, it’s a big win for them. If your company is MNC, it’s different. But if it’s a small-mid size company. Manager will be able to manage you anyway, they need people to work
