I went to passport renewal office yesterday , they have kept on hold as they said 10th marksheet is required for NON-ECR category , but the thing is my 10th class marksheet is in different city , which would not be possible to get it right now . Other document which i saw was Submission of income tax document. In that 2 proof's are eligible . one it says *Proof of assessment of income tax of actual income tax for last one year . What would be that , from where i can download in Income tax website .*Another one it says ITR statement signed by IT authority , I can download the ITR statement from Income tax website but from whom to get signed and is signed really required or digital signature would work over there ? Has anyone able to successfully go through this by submitting income tax documents .

Did you ask if they would take any other proof of higher education / graduation (Bachelors/Masters etc.)

All documents are in different city except ITR which can be taken online .

AFAIK, you need your 10th, 12th or graduation certificates for NON-ECR. ITR-V is one additional document you can provide but is not the only one basis which they will process.

they should accept digilocker certs, but i'm not sure if they actually do
