I want to learn chess and was wondering if anyone knows about a free website that can help?

I know about chess.com but it is paid and offers 1 lesson per week in the free edition.

I think one of the best way to learn chess is to play. The ruleset is small enough, what takes time is tactics and strategy. Try solving some chess puzzles, they help develop the latter. Play against as many different players as you can to learn different tactics. You can also use post game analysis to replay situations where you made a bad move and figure out what the better move would've been

lichess is just too awesome. Also on youtube you can also watch streamers. I watch Hikaru and Naroditsky, but they maybe too advanced coz they are GMs. Check out Botez sisters, maybe their content is easier for beginners. Powerplaychess and Epic Chess for match analysis between top players both current and past.
