I want to know if you applied yourself or through an agent. How difficult is it to get visa for the Bahamas?

08/07/2022, 12:12 AMI did about 2 years back. I applied it myself. Bahamas is a British Oversees Territory so you can visit there on either a Bahamas visa or even a UK tourist visa. AMA.

08/08/2022, 7:58 AMI applied it online. Since Bahamas is a British Overseas Territory, UK gov is responsible for granting bahamas visa. There are two approaches to this - first is to get a UK tourist visa as it will allow you to visit Bahamas as well as transit through a UK airport on your connecting flight (India -> London -> Bahamas) or you can apply first for a Bahamas visa then for a UK transit visa. I went with the second approach, but it takes more time as you apply for Bahamas visa first, and only after receiving you apply for transit visa.

08/08/2022, 7:59 AMFor the second approach, to apply for a bahamas visa, start the application on UK gov site just like you'd apply for a UK visa. I think its the first or scond question where it asks you what type of visa you want to apply for. There select the option for "British Overseas Territory" and select Bahamas. Then its the regular form afterwards.
