Hello everyone, just want to get a general idea from folks about remote work plans: how many of us are: 1. Working remote from different destinations (does not have to be X months a year, but at least trying actively) - 1️⃣ 2. Working remote but mainly from home/cafe in city - 2️⃣ 3. Work and destination (or anything other than a office environment) are not mixing well - 3️⃣ The main reason I want to understand is how things are changing since this year or might be next year. I was telling @calm-grass-85557 about my interests in a larger co-work/co-live space in Sikkim but I would first like to understand if people are still looking for more destinations. Would love your votes with the numeric icons, thank you! ❤️

@melodic-jordan-81418 if are you are in an office in a city then it is 3. The focus is on the word "remote" from a geographic point of view since I am trying to estimate interest for that.
It could be option 2 as well though. But if you have fixed office, then basically you need a fixed place and work is not mixing well with desinations.

@wide-carpet-65149 As a remote worker of ~15 years, here are a few anecdotal observations to be taken with spoons of salt 😉: • 3️⃣ is the vast majority of the population • Most remote workers fall into 2️⃣ and become 1️⃣ for the occasional remote workation • Most 2️⃣s will end up becoming 3️⃣ over time once they become managers • Most 1️⃣s will end up becoming 2️⃣ or 3️⃣ once they have families and social circles. Novelty >> loyalty. IOW, any co-working space should be prepared to cater to a mostly young but ever changing clientele for short periods at a time.

@helpful-gigabyte-47939 I think my gut feelings are quite similar. For me, from a future business point of view, I want to understand if I should build for a more backpacker or digital nomad audience. The location, facilities and other choices will differ.

As someone who is currently at your hostel, I think Temi has the potential to be a much better version of Rakkar in the coming years!
This place is remote enough to be off the backpacker trail, yet has surprisingly good infrastructure/ market to attract enough DNs. It could be a vibe of its own.
