I managed to finish Ubik by Philip Dick on a long flight. Not my first PKD but t’was probably my best yet. Ubik is set in a time where your thoughts can be read by organisations. Two rival orgs are at war because one of them figures out how to change the past in subtle ways. The ideas themselves are stretched to question our understanding of reality as presented by the narrator. Narration sublimely moves in and out of scenes that are non-linearly told and happening in different timelines. The end has a IMO contrived twist but overall a much nicer read than any new SF I have read lately.

Interesting! I'm curious what made you pick up the book? Do you follow the author or read fiction regularly?

Hiya! I’ve been a long time SF reader and Philip Dick is probably my second favourite after John Wyndham. This book I had purchased back in 2008 and never got around to reading. Decided to dust it off now that I get to read on long flights once in a while
